Coach Orr's response to the incident:

“The community has made us feel welcome and comfortable here,” said Orr, who is in his sixth season as BGSU’s coach. “I’ve lived a lot of places in my life, and this has been a good place to live as a father and a husband.
‘‘This one incident by no means represents our experience here or by no means is an indictment to the entire community,” Orr added. “Something like this could happen anywhere in America.’’

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I haven't always been kind in my view of Orr as a coach...but I have a great deal of respect for him as a man.

I have stated frequently that I don't believe Coach Orr should be coaching Bowling Green.
That said, nobody deserves this kind of attack, I hope they catch the hateful person(s) and my thoughts and prayers go out to a decent man and his family.

The kids involved are classmates of Orr's nephew. Two of them have been kicked off the BGHS football team, both were starters.

And while most Toledo fans have been respectful of this situation and Coach Orr, sadly, there is one in every crowd.

BTW, I'm not sure where else to go with someone that chalks out "white power" with swastikas? That is something exclusive to a lack of education and rednecks so where else is it to go?

The good is that the Orr family must feel safer, although certainly violated, since the offenders have been identified. Also the offenders can now be educated and serve as examples to others who lack social skills or openly share ignorance.
