Wow, that means a lot coming from Flip!Flipper wrote:In contrast to the weak kegs and eggs crew, the Anderson Animals did an awesome job of firing the crowd up at the start of the second half.
With Freddie and Frieda (and Liz Honnegar) wearing Anderson Animals t-shirts, you guys seemed to have eclipsed the sideline squad as the "in" group of falcon fans. Well done!!

Again, the cheerleaders want to thank the Anderson Animals and the pep band for helping us get the place going!!!!!!! Most importantly, last week I mentioned that the F Toledo chant was not classy and something that the cheerleaders obviously cannot do.............and I am thankful that the chant was only briefly started once during the game!!!!!! Thanks for showing positive energy and for helpin' us out!!
Always there to cheer on the Falcons.......GO BG!!!!

McMetz...I waited on a lot of tables to earn the cash to pay for my BA in English...I'm puitting that sucker to use. A little dictionary time is good for you.
The Animals played a bit of punk card on the Sideline Squad (a friendly punk card, but a punk card nonetheless) this week. Will the Sideline Squad earn their rep and have an answer?

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
They don't need to answer. A lot of people keep telling me we are better than the sideline squad but I don't want that. The Anderson Animals are not intended to be a sideline group. If you look around, there are some people all around the arena with them on. I want the entire student section (except for the sideline squad and kegs and eggs people because they have their own things going) to have them on someday, not just a few of us on the sidelines. Sure it may never happen but I can atleast hope for nowFlipper wrote: The Animals played a bit of punk card on the Sideline Squad (a friendly punk card, but a punk card nonetheless) this week. Here's an idea, half the students wear orange, the other half wear brown? Have the sideline squad's shirt's orange. (Not sure why they're black)

The Sideline Squad members looked like they got to the game at the same time I did (highly doubt they were there for the girls game) and proceeded to the front row. From my seat in the south balcony, I watched one of the members grab a gameday staffer and talk to the people who were already sitting in the front row and I'm assuming they told them to move. Of course the Sideline Squad managed to stand in the front row in front of the students who were there first. What a pathetic group compared to the founding members. Glad to see that the Anderson Animals have taken over.....better fans and a more creative group name.

Re: Anderson Animals
Yep, gotta love those top rows. It gets so hot in AA and all ya gotta do is turn around and open a window....BGSU99 wrote:Hats off to BGSU's newest cheering sensation baby ... the ANDERSON ANIMALS! You guys really had the student section rocking today, especially in the second half! Freak and I were holding our own in the top row of section N! I liked Option QB's little dance in front of the Toledo section (all five or six of those losers) in the end zone at the end of the game ... that was classic!
BTW, Ed...that was NOT Option dancing in front of the UT guys. I saw him after the game and he said is wasn't him. Great hanging and slappin High fives with ya as usual! "Just like football".

Of course, if you would have seen someone yelling at the opposing fans something to the effect of... "I can't believe you think that guy's a small forward when he's clearly a two...and maybe if you would have gotten out of that box and one and guarded the low post once in awhile...MAN! I can't believe how weak you come off your screens! and you call that a pick n' roll?!?!?!?" And then he breaks out the dry erase board... THEN you might have seen Option...orangeandbrown wrote:I've never met Option, but I have to say that I wouldn't have pictured him verballing visiting fans as described.
Freak ... We were rockin'!
Mike, I wonder who that dude was? Man, he got right in their faces and was just going off on those UT guys. That was funny. That was one awesome game. I posted this on the another thread, but if you wouldn't mind firing up another tape of that game, I would love a copy. I'll compensate you for that one! That game is worth watching again!

So I read the blotter today in the BG News and it said:
"An intoxicated subject was ejected from pregame activities at the basketball game."
Ejected isn't exactly the word I would have used. Perhaps "fled police" would have been a bit more accurate.

Actually ejected is the correct word. Like I said in my first post in this thread, there was also a student ejected for being drunk and underage before the chicken dude went nuts.SaxyIrishTenor wrote: Ejected isn't exactly the word I would have used.
