"It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing where I thought it was the best move for me," he said. "It was just my mind-set. I didn't want to be somewhere where I was not going to be happy and not loving everything about the game. And it was tougher to get to the NBA from there." -- RON LEWIS
Because OSU is such a NBA Mecca. What do they have, maybe two players currently playing in the NBA (Jimmy Jackson and Michael Redd) that I can think of. Sounds like a great opportunity for Lewis, an almost automatic to the next level.

Why was he ever here?
After reading that article I am convinced that Ron Lewis ended up in Bowling Green because he signed the wrong letter of intent by mistake.
Did he ever watch a BG basketball game before coming to school here?
Did he ever talk to the players about Dakich's coaching style?
I do not know the other schools that offered Ron when he was making his college decision, but it seems like anywhere else would have probably been a better fit for his selfish attitude than playing for Dakich here at BGSU.
Hopefully when Krebs is offered the job at OSU he will think about Ron Lewis and realize that an athlete goes to OSU for different reasons than the typical athlete comes to BGSU.

Me and Dakich, we never got into it - it was nothing like that," Lewis said. "It was just me and my decision of trying to get somewhere as a point guard. The way he was, I really didn't like his style of coaching. It wasn't fitting my game.
Is this guy for real? How about fitting your game into the COACH'S style??It was all about "ME". Is he related to Leon from the Bud Light commercials? I am glad he's at OSU. We're much better off without him.
""I like coach Matta's up-tempo style of basketball," Lewis said. "The team plays together and they run the floor a lot. Nobody's clogged up. I like that style of basketball a lot."
And this BG team doesn't play together???? Well, it does now that YOU'RE gone.
"Lewis has become the best cheerleader money can't buy at Ohio State, which has an ongoing NCAA basketball investigation hanging over its head, as well as this season's self-imposed, one-year postseason ban."

Maybe that's how we get all those osu fans here as students...windycityfalcon wrote:Ron probably couldn't read his letter of intent to BG... which is why he signed it.. and also now explains how he's been accepted at Ohio Stinks University

I'm an tOSU fan, but recovering. It's a hard disease to live with.
