I call that Northcutting the ball, in honor of former Browns WR Dennis Northcutt, who pulled that crap at least twice a season.

Great showing on Defense and Special Teams for the entire game. Offense takes way too long to adjust and kick it in gear. Hopefully next week the offense comes out in the no-huddle right away and the Falcons bring about 10-15 fewer penalties.

Its a win but way too many mistakes today to get excited about anything. Team is lucky they didn't play a better opponent or the outcome would've been different. Gotta clean up penalties, 15 is inexcusable. The defense was great and that pick-6 by Dwayne was huge. Every year you win one ugly game, I hope this was it.

Quick post game thoughts ....

At points this felt like last year vs Kent State. We came into the game with a ton of momentum and came out flat. Just not playing great. On offense, we really did not play well for much of today. OK but not great on the O line, and when the O line does not play great our running game does not perform, and when our running game perform Schilz has to do it all on his own, and when Schilz has to do it all on his own we are totally unpredictable. Like with Kent State last year, too many mistakes, this time in the form of penalties.
However ... defense was OUTSTANDING!! This is the best D I've ever seen at BG. Period.
Their O line did everything they could to contain Chris Jones. Good call by them. Problem is, the rest of the D line is pretty darn good too!
We showed good determination late in taking over the game starting late in the third. That no huddle drive was gorgeous and from there on out it was all BG.

If the offense comes out flat against OU, our defense will probably be able to bail out the team again, but I don't want to risk that. Offense has got to regain consistency. That being said ... if the team plays this way on defense from here on out, nobody in this conference can beat us. Nobody is used to playing against such a well coached, fine tackling, attacking defense.

Beat EMU!!

Good call...Can't believe I forgot that one.

15 penalties...sheet, we usually need 3 games to get 15. Get it outta the system cuz we cannot have that.

Defense!!!!!!! We have a kick azz D. And shout outs to Stein and Tate for making all place kicks.

BEAT EMU!!!

Doesn't surprise me that it's a browns receiver!
