Why I REALLY hope to see a lot of AZZers this weekend
Why I REALLY hope to see a lot of AZZers this weekend
Gang:
Noah & I are planning on being at Saturday's game. Here are two reasons I hope to see a lot of AZZers there!
1) The team is playing really well - and physical. LOVE that. We've all been talking about this for years and it's good to see us smacking some people around.
2) It kind of struck me after I made plans for our trip ... this might be our last chance to come to BG for a few years. Yep, years. Next year, Noah plays JV football, then (he hopes) two years of varsity. Those are Friday night and Saturday afternoon games and the schedules typically stretch well into November, so BG road trips are going to be tough to come by.
So this won't be a last hurrah, but could definitely be the last for a while.
Hope to make the most of it!

Looking forward to seeing you and Noah! Jake has a hockey game at 8:30 so we won't be there as soon as I'd like. Trust me, we'll be doing 85 on the turnpike to get there asap! Josh won't be there cuz he has a gig at a friend's halloween party...you know, the teenager stuff but he says hello.
Safe travels and GO FALCONS!!!

Toledo Blade has an ad too in the sports section for two tickets, $15 total.

I'm looking forward to your (and Noah's) visit to BG...Will be there bringing my brother in law as Joyce has some sort of birthday party to go to. Note: bring some rain gear as it looks like possible wet deal.

Kroger is doing a "Stuff the Truck" canned food drive as well at the game. Donating one canned good will enter you into a $100 Kroger gas card.

I believe someone was the "Meijer Fan of the Game" the last time they showed up.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Transfer: Good memory. That was awesome and wouldn't mind a repeat performance.
We have the free parking pass, which is cool. Still haven't scooped up tickets, but will get that done shortly.
Marta - YES we are planning on heading over to the hockey game - it would be the first hockey game of any kind for Noah, which is pretty cool.
So excited. Truck has been serviced and detailed inside and out ... we cannot WAIT.

Still debating another roadie myself. 48 and rainy isn't going in the "Pros" column, that's for sure. But I'd love to check out an OSU beating on the ice.

Last I saw rain should be gone be mid morning. Hoping that forecast holds.TG1996 wrote:Still debating another roadie myself. 48 and rainy isn't going in the "Pros" column, that's for sure. But I'd love to check out an OSU beating on the ice.

Good to hear. I hadn't taken a close look at an hour-by-hour forecast yet. Chilly I can do, chilly and raining requires consideration.Falcon137 wrote:Last I saw rain should be gone be mid morning. I said that and looked again....47, 40% chance of rain, wind 19 mph. Could be a nasty one. Ponchos!!TG1996 wrote:Good to hear. I hadn't taken a close look at an hour-by-hour forecast yet. Could be worse with Sandy bearing down on the east coast. Mid-week next week is gonna be pretty raw.

Now showing mid-50s with rain ending in the AM... I should probably do some brown and orange laundry tomorrow.
