I just can't get over the fact that we have such a dominant defense. For the past decade of my fanhood I've been used to seeing us win (or lose) like 42-38 with both QBs passing for 400 yards and 5 tds. This different type of team is nice for a change. I can honestly say I am just as excited when our defense takes the field as when our offense does, and I am ok with that. Plus our special teams have been killer lately too. Drilling that 40+ yarder has nothing to do with who we play.

What constitutes a good team in your mind then? Do you just expect 56-0 blowouts every week? The team has found their identity to be able to win, and that's very exciting and encouraging. If you think the team is dull and boring, then don't watch and quit commenting on a fan board of a team you think is so lame.
OK. I will. And I have. Why do divergent opinions piss people off so much? I don't get mad because you think the team is exciting and fun to watch.

The athletic program sucks right now. Its my athletic therapy. You have this idealistic self righteous view of the sports program. I can just imagine what our record would be right now with Tressell as Head Coach.

UMass had 6 scoring drives vs Ohio. They had 6 first downs against BG.

Falcon137...that's an amazing stat...all the more so when you consider UMass had the bye week to prepare for us.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I'll be the first one to admit that when it came to the first 4 games of the season, after three years of optimism, I was throwing in the towel on this coaching staff. I said, "Forget it. They obviously don't know how to win games, the offensive play calling is terrible..." etc. I'll always support the team, because it's my Alma Mater and I love the school.

But seriously, the past four weekends have been AWESOME. I am ECSTATIC I am swallowing my nay-saying words from earlier this season. I don't care about the record of the teams we've beaten. A "W" is a "W" no matter how you look at it. One more win and we're bowl eligible, which, we haven't achieved since my senior year in 2009. Win 3 of the next 4 and we're likely in the MACC game. This season has "BG football program turn-around season" written all over it, IMHO.

And you would be setting at the keyboard typing away that you cannot believe that this is a Jim Tressel-led team, that Jim Tressell never had a team play like this while he was the head coach at Ohio State, that Jim Tressell this and Jim Tressell that.....yadda, yadda, yadda.

That is why I never take anything you say seriously. You will get upset that I disagreed with you, tell me about how I have a high-holy opinion about BGSU and the state of BGSU Athletics, and yadda, yadda, yadda. And you know what, like every PM you send me, I'll ignore it. 8-) Just be nice to those who disagree with you and to those you disagree with. One day you will learn from your mistakes. In the meantime, I have some Obama campaign posters I need to put in Factmans' yard. 8-)

That's not even the craziest stat. Wezgyn threw for 371 yards on 27-51 passing, 4 TDs, and 0 INTs. Against BG he was 9-25, 23 yards (23 FREAKING YARDS) and threw 2 INTs.

I think some people need perspective about how physically dominating BG was on defense. It was men against boys.

Flipper brought up a great point, they even had 2 weeks to prepare!

For anyone wondering the record for the teams Kent has beaten is 14-30.
