Ball State. If Army can't beat Eastern Michigan ....
Northern Illinois. No faith in WMU beating a big MAC opponent.
Kent State. Not sure how much of this is wishful thinking and how much is legit, but I think with the way Kent has come together recently they've got a fighting chance.
Ohio. That team down south will make it mighty interesting I think but OU is coming off a bye week and is playing their big rival. Not happening.
Bowling Green. EMU can score some points on Army and other not too hot defenses, but they've not played anybody like Chris Jones or Dwayne Woods or any secondary like ours. And their defense is not physical or fast enough to stop Anthon Samuel, John Pettigrew, Andre Givens, Shaun Joplin, Chris Gallon, etc. BG rolls.
That team up north. Buffalo is probably in it for a good amount of the game but not in the fourth quarter.
Akron. I'm feeling a win for the Zips, finally, in this one, especially with how CMU's defense has been playing recently.
Vanderbilt. Please, Vandy, please take it easy on UMass. They're trying, they really are, but they don't have the depth that an FBS team needs, or at least not yet. I think the potential is there for a quick turnaround.

I picked a lot of road teams this week. Hope that's not a bad thing.

Re: Pick the MAC - Week 9
- BSU. Army should stop scheduling MAC opponents.
- NIU. Clearly the better team, but WMU might be good enough to sneak up on them in Kalamazoo if the Huskies don't come ready to play.
- Kent. Going out on a limb on this one. Rutgers is a pretty good team that's played a tougher schedule than Kent. This should tell us a lot about how good Kent is.
- Ohio. Don't see them falling asleep against the Redskins.
- BG. EMU's offense is picking up momentum and is capable of scoring big. Hope our defense has another strong outing and our offense can shake off last week's performance and we don't get caught looking ahead. Visions of the 2008 game have me a little skittish.
- Turdledo. Buffalo just not good enough to have a shot.
- Central. Playing at home should be enough against a team that's been on a downward slide.
- Vandy. Mass had better atheletes than I expected, but no way they get their first win of the year on the road against an SEC foe.

Miami - wishful thinking, perhaps, but Miami is due...lost 5 straight to Ohio and the Cats have a lot of injuries (both teams coming off bye weeks)
