Scrimmage Today at 2
Anyone head up there to watch. If anyone does , a report would be swell.

Ten guys got one heck of a workout.
Four guys in sweats with injuries (but I didn't notice any casts) Black, Erger, Orr and Rorie.
Transfer Josh Gomez was on the floor the entire time.
Played two 15 minutes sessions, each team won one, so they played another 10, then another two to break the that tie.
Lot of rough edges, shooting was terrible, but I thought the intensity got a lot better as time went on.
About 300 in stands and Coach Orr was very appreciative of the interest.

Thanks for the update. I'll probably try to get down for the exhibition game.

Both had their moments. Parker more than Holmes. Holmes not afraid to mix it up under the basket.

How many turnovers did Crawford have?

The real questions are always about how the new guys played but thats always left off these reports and the official ones. What are your expectations of Holmes and Parker and what positions will they play?

Anyone know what their injuries are? Hopefully nothing serious.manager wrote:Four guys in sweats with injuries (but I didn't notice any casts) Black, Erger, Orr and Rorie.

Re: Scrimmage Today at 2
My thoughts on this season. I think that the lineup should shape up like this.
1. Crawford
2. Clarke/Kraus
3. Sealy
4. Calhoun
5. Holmes/Black
Clarke backs up at PG and Holmes at PF.
That leaves out 6 guys
1. Gomes is not playing this year
2. Rorie probably won't have a major role
3. Parker is a complete unknown
4. Erger is a known comodity that is limited
5. Orr can backup the 2 and 3 and play decent mistake free minutes
6. Henderson can backup the 2 and had a nice line during the scrimmage
Thoughts
1. When Holmes and Black are in the game together it will be tough to score down low.
2. Kraus is a decent second guy at the 2 who can play nice D
3. I expect Clarke and Calhoun to battle for the team lead in scoring and for both to be Honorable Mention all MAC and above.
4. Holmes was a great get IMO. Looks fluid and tough.
5. Some of the best questions will be who steps up and plays more minutes at the 2 and 3. Even who starts at the 3. I think it should be Sealey although that limits our range but he is

Re: Scrimmage Today at 2
That's the starting line up I expect, as well. However, I see Crawford taking a lot of shots for better or worse. If Clarke does play regular minutes at the 2, Crawford will benefit greatly by having a 2 with speed and mobility.
I'd really like to see Sealey have a break out year this year. He could potentially put up bigger numbers than Calhoun.
