Remaining schedules.....

Post by SicSicalum »

Knowing full well, our destiny is in our own hands, thought it would be neat to take a look at the other team's remaining schedules:

Ohio
Today: @ Miami --- who knows, maybe Dysert has the game of his life?
EMU @ home --- should be a win.
BGSU @ home --- our defense shows up (AGAIN!! :D ) we win!!
@ Balls Tate --- NOT a guarantee.
@ Kent St. --- who knows what the scenario will be?

Kent St.
Today: @ Rutgers --- as far as the MAC is concerned, who cares? Still curious as to how they look/do against some pretty stiff competition.
Akron @ home --- definitely a win.
@ Miami --- see above
@ BGSU --- our defense shows up (AGAIN!! :D ) we win!!
Kent St. @ home --- who knows what the scenario will be?

Going to be very interesting to see how the remainder of this season plays out. Hope to see many in Detroit and beyond!! [-o<

How does that final Kent State game against Kent State factor into the final standings - a victory and a loss? Tie? #-o

I must respond when my detractors call. I want nothing more then for this team to win the MAC and go on to a bowl game and win that as well. I just worry that our defense is not as good as we think it is and with the play calling and gameplanning of this staff, I just find it hard to think we will win more then 7. Clawson conservative nature will eventually lead to our losing serveral games we shouldnt lose. I think a good coach and this team is a 9-10 win team. I dont happen to like watching this particular style of play nor to I think it is sustainable to winning consistently in the MAC. You can look year after year at the teams that have won the MAC; they have had great QB's and great athletes at the WR position (something I think at this point we can agree we dont have). Clawson's style might win in the Big 10 if he were coaching there, I just dont think it is the formula in this conference. Will I root for this team to win absolutely it is the only college team I really root for, do I think we will be miered at 7-5 and 6-6 while Clawson is @ BGSU I sure do.

Also if your going to run the ball and play great Defense you sure as hell better have a great FG Kicker something else I think we can all agree we lack. I think this defict will also show up at some point when we need an easy 40 yard FG and we will miss it.

You don't like the coach...so you're going to complain while we're winning. Yeah...you're a regular superfan...

Of course I am Flipper... Your logic is complete flawed. Premise one: I dont like the coach because I think without him this team would be better. Premise 2: I love BGSU Football. Conclusion: I complain about coaching even in winning situations because I think the coach if holding back a very talented team and will in the future... I do consider myself one of BGSU's most avid supporters and have been for years, I think my comments simply are a call for wanting MORE out of my football program specifically coach not less...

I think there are many folks around the country that complain when winning when they think a coach is holding back there team, but they still root like crazy for them to win (IG MAC BROWN, MARK RICHT, Tom O'Brien) are all great examples of fan base that current think even though they are winning most fans in their fan base think with a new coach they could be better

I agree with a lot of the things you say but when you pick us to lose to EMU it makes me scratch my head a little bit.
