This running game has completely demoralized EMU.

We should be moving close to the top in many national defensive categories now.

Quick post game thoughts ...

Defensive domination. Gabe Martin had 3 sacks, Forced Fumble, and a pick, and you could argue that he wasn't even the defensive MVP of the game. Could give that to Jones if you want.
Offense didn't have to do much because of the defense. All they had to do was manage the game.
Both lines controlled the LOS.
Offense was at points good at managing, at others not too great. Playcalling was conservative and it was apparent Matt was told to just manage the game and not throw it away. He didn't make any big mistakes but also missed some big opportunities. Again, he didn't have to do much. Defense was so good and the running game was outstanding.
All in all, we pretty well controlled this game and at others dominated.
No turnovers, right?
5 straight wins! Beat Ohio!!

Gabe Martin has been all over the field all season. Great to see him have another great game today with plays that show up in the stat sheet.

Good teams play to their strengths. Our strength is our Defense.

Heard on the radio - via the way of the sideline reporter, that Andre was able to move his legs and had sensation in the rest of his body. Hoping & [-o< for a speedy recovery.

Football seems less important in these situations. Many prayers for a good healthy recovery.

Photos from the game today.

Also, according to the BGSU Athletics Facebook page, Andre Givens never lost consciousness and will make a full recovery and good play again as soon as OU. That's very encouraging.

I LOVE that at the end, we just continued to run the ball. We ran off, I believe, the last 9 or so minutes of the game, and EMU couldn't do anything to stop it. That was a beautiful thing to see.

Great news! That EMU defender speared him right square in the back with that hit. Hope he bounces back and is ready to go next game. I really like watching him play.
GO BG!!!
