Buffalo game
Just got my tickets for the Buffalo game in Cbus. They were free if you ran the Cbus Marathon. Nice deal there. Anyone else coming down/going.
Re: Buffalo game
I'll be there with a group of 8. I've only been to a few Crew games, are they tailgate friendly or should we find a bar pregame?
Re: Buffalo game
I will be there, with one, perhaps 2 more.

Tailgate friendly. Plenty of area. We will be making the 15 minute drive across town. Myles and Polleyes pizza will be available according to the University.
We will be tailgating somewhere. Hopefully a later start to the game than 11am.
Re: Buffalo game
Anyone know what time the game is? I just checked the AD website and it still says TBA. But my son and I will be attending.

I've heard 2. My guess is the OU @ Kent gets the 11am ESPNU slot.MajorFalcon92 wrote:Falcon137 wrote:I'll be there with a group of 8. I've only been to a few Crew games, are they tailgate friendly or should we find a bar pregame?

Myles and Polleyes at the game???? How awesome is that?!?!?!?
Re: Buffalo game
My wife and I are using our season tickets plus I just picked up the free ones for the Columbus Marathon. (Thanks for the post "Turbo," I would have missed that deal. We will have about 12 going.

I'll bet there are more students at the Buffalo game than there were at the EMU game.

Unfortunately, that wouldn't take much.Falcon137 wrote:I'll bet there are more students at the Buffalo game than there were at the EMU game.

So, if you ran 26 miles you get free tickets to BG/Buffalo game? I mean I love the Falcons but..."come-on on man!"Globetrotter wrote:Just got my tickets for the Buffalo game in Cbus. They were free if you ran the Cbus Marathon. Nice deal there. Anyone else coming down/going.

I assume tix will be available at the gate...I will need to get one, possibly two more. I have to work the night before until 8AM but will have Freakling 1 drive down so I can catch some ZZZZ's. Or I may be so hyped I can't sleep anyway.
Bah, I just took the night off anyway. Keeping my priorities in order...FALCON FOOTBALL first, work 4th.

Re: Buffalo game
Attended the Coaches Reception At Crew Stadium Sun . . . some things they mentioned - The stadium holds about as many as the Doyt/want to fill with BG fans, Coach said bring 300 of your best friends/ is to be more than game..."taking BGSU to Columbus", "University wide effort" to be attending; the Pres, Board of Directors, student Recruiting, etc/Columbus has become a great FB Recruiting area (2 Cols players in attendance) about 10 Cols players on Roster/want to get Cols Alumni to attend/could become every other year Event/Crew Stadium is supporting the Event/BG food available . . . probably other items I've forgotten but, sounds like it will be a good time.

Re: Buffalo game
I know the kickoff time is still up in the air, waiting on ESPN, but does anybody have any info on tailgate areas, tailgate rules, costs, how long before the game the lots open up, ect.? Gonna be a treat fighting the Columbus black friday crowds on the roads that day. Leave early to give yourselves plenty of extra time to get through the traffic mess. What a contrast when you think about it. All of those folks will be choosing to fight the crowds, stand in the lines and deal with the frustration of black friday shopping when they instead could be relaxing and watching BG (hopefully) clinch the East. Pretty east decision for me to make!
Re: Buffalo game
As I think was mentioned here or elsewhere on the forum, Crew Stadium sits in the middle of a big parking lot. Tailgating should be everywhere. Not sure how they'd direct traffic, so if you're planning to tailgate with a group, you might want to meet up and roll in together, but there's probably not a designated "best" spot.Beaker wrote:I know the kickoff time is still up in the air, waiting on ESPN, but does anybody have any info on tailgate areas, tailgate rules, costs, how long before the game the lots open up, ect.?
