The crowd seemed electric last night. It brought everything in the stadium to life.

Who let the OSU fan into the students' section? He needed a new seat because he was being very annoying.

Speaking of annoying, I may just burn the giant Bergeron heads. Kinda tough to see the game with those right in my face.

Haha, FOOTBALL guy...not a stadium...an arena. Sorry, but had to laugh at that with your screen name! And I agree, the student section was great! Love to see the energy and excitement. Keep it going!!!

Overall, was highly disappointed with the crowds both nights given that we were playing Zero State. But...I also know it's early in the year, the last week of high school football and Halloween party weekend, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. There is going to come a time (sooner than later!!) when it won't matter what else is going on...that arena will be FULL!!!! :-D

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

So in one line you say the student section was geat, then you say you are disappointed. We had good crowds on both nights. Could it be better? It could always be better, but our student section was loud and proud on both nights.

Disppointed with the overall attendance numbers, definitely not the crowd that was here. The crowd that was here was great, especially late in the game on Saturday night. And the student section was great! Keep it going!!!

When/if the spartan fans start yelling "go green, go white" the student section needs to start yelling "GO GREEN, GO WHITE, GO SUCK AN EGG!!!" Back in the day, it wasn't a "when/if" but always a "when" because they came here in big numbers (our BIGGEST rival) and always yelled it, which we would immediately drown out with our own, much better version!! :supz:

Force of habit. I'm a much bigger football fan than hockey fan, but my wife is the big hockey fan. Saturday, we compromised and went to both games. The crowd at the hockey game was so much more lively than the football game, but I'll take football any day. And as long as my wife doesn't read that last comment, I should be safe.

You can always start your own "Grow Grain" "Grow Wheat" cheer. The Sparty's don't really care for that too much ;)

Nah. No "jackass" in it. Can cheer something that clean.

Saying we have a swear word in every one of our chants is just straight up wrong. We have a lot of clean chants, such as "Who's He? Nobody!" and "That's Debatable, They Still Suck!"

I'm pretty sure he was kidding...but 'They Still Suck' is stupid, unoriginal and too much UM. But if that is what you aspire too...have at it ;)

It has nothing to do with U of M. We have been doing that for quite a few years, not to mention we are going to continue to do it. The point is that the entire student section knows to say it when an opponent gets out of the box. We are not going to quit saying it. The old chants are still there, we have just changed them. Just wish the other fans would chant along with us.

I'm confused... are we chasing our tails or banging our heads against the wall here?

I'll hang up and listen.

I think UM started saying it first, and we picked it up from them...correct me if I am wrong.
Bring back the glory!
