Sorry if this has already been covered, but why are we playing a DII team and calling it a season opener rather than an exhibition, which it essentially is? If I remember correctly it doesn't even count towards the RPI so I just fail to see any benefit.

So we can say..."We won our season opener". I'm thinking that sentence will someday be completed by the phrase "then things took a dramatic turn for the worse"

Well, we'll find out a bit more about these guys as they play Cleve. St. on Monday (I believe) in the Ann Arbor Classic or whatever it's called. CSU starts only ONE Sr. and FOUR sophs, or at least they did in their opener, a blowout win. They've been recruiting a LOT of Cleve. kids and gotten several to transfer back home from other schools; plus Gary Waters has proven to be a solid coach, first at KSU, then at Rutgers and now at CSU.
