Some of the Kent State fans...

Post by BGFan »

appear to be rather over confident that we'll be absolutely decimated by their football team. It seems that they haven't quite figured out how to deal with success in football, which is understandable, I guess. They have a reason to be confident given their season but some of them have no idea how to look at an upcoming game objectively. Many are basing their predictions on the Rutgers game and rolling up yardage against that defense and comparing it to BG. Results against common opponents would be a better indicator, IMO. Anyway, here is the thread on their message board: http://csnbbs.com/showthread.php?tid=598491

Looks like some of those fans should start taping their ankles up when they visit Saturday, don't wanna hurt themselves too much jumping off that bandwagon when the game is over.

Let them be confident all they want. If I was a Kent State fan, I'd sure as hell be confident and excited about their team. It's an exciting thing to see your team overachive so much and win by such margins, especially after years of sub-.500 teams. As a BG fan, I'm happy to see Kent do well, and I'm happy to see the MAC get so much attention this year.

I'll be even happier when we shut down their offense and beat them into the ground on Saturday!

I didn't know Kent State had enough fans to have a message board.

They apparently do now.

Thats funny because in baseball they just made CWS and win mac every year, their golf team dominates every year, their basketball team is always good and made a run in tournament before, and now this fall the football team is relevant. So you were saying kent doesn't have fans? What has BG done to make them have fans besides have a good womens bball team and build a brand new arena thats holds a high school crowd and only have high school crowds show up to the bball games? ](*,)

Just bring your fans over to BG. We'll gladly accept their money.

As far as facilities go, I wouldn't be making comments about Perry Stadium when you have Dix Stadium. And I won't even mention that pit where you play basketball.

Just remember, bowl reps want to see how well fans travel. So if attendance is pathetic, you might want to blame your own fanbase.
