Kicking game might be the difference...and that won't favor BG!

IF The shot is picked it as good as a punt and puts our defense (our best chance of making a BIG play) out on the field and flips field position

Offense isn't going to be able to do enough to keep defense out of tough positions. Not liking how this is playing out.
