Get better cheers. The only time I can understand or hear the student section for that matter is when they chant bullsh** and a**ho!e. Try to be clever and do something different. We're all glad you're at the game but try to come up with some new cheers that EVERYONE can repeat. Other schools find a way to do it.

I have heard from current players that they can hear what we are saying just fine. Also, here are some cheers you could get in on that are completely clean:
"Who's He? Nobody"
"That's debatable, they still suck!" (Unless saying suck is no longer acceptable.)
"BG-SU"
"Let's go Faclons"
"Here we go Falcons, here we go."
I do worry about the student section, which is why I know we are moving in the right direction, but I have a hope that maybe some day we can get that place louder than it has ever been before... Guess that is not happening by the look of things. I guess the students have to do all the work.

When the student section does the BG-SU chant most of the crowd only hears SU.

I was thinking something more original. Most of these are the same cheers that are said at every BGSU sporting event. It took 5 minutes to look online and see what other schools are doing. I'm not saying "steal" these chants but rather show you that other schools come up with cheers that aren't necessarily profane. It can be done. Have some pride and come up with something new. If you want to do business as usual, don't be surprised when fans don't respond.

Maybe you guys should have paid better attention to that section opposite of the student section (section D) more then just at the end of the game. Section D was starting plenty on BG chants, and no responses of SU came from the student section. You want better crowd interaction, get some of your people in that section and do the cross ice BG-SU that everyone has been suggesting on here

Yes, "suck" is acceptable. Profanity isn't. As others have noted, a lot of the time, the student section can only be understood when they're chanting "bullsh*t" or other profanity. That makes me extremely embarrassed as an alumnus. And I'm not that far removed from "student status" as I only graduated in 2010 so don't assume I think it's unacceptable because I'm "older."

Believe me, I want to help get these cheers going. And you're right in the fact that the students will not give up "See you, bye bye,..."
I just firmly believe that there's no need for chanting BS or other obscenities at the other team or the referees.

The part of them chanting bullshit that embarrasses me is that they do it almost every time we get called for a penalty. No team is perfect, they all commit penalties, there is no need to chant bullshit at each and every one. Them doing that makes them look so uninformed about the game

I've never heard it at volleyball, softball, or baseball, and I'm sure they aren't chanting it at things like tennis, golf, track and field, soccer, or swimming. People are giving their opinion, which is different then yours, so you are just making stuff up. Hockey and football aren't almost every Falcon sporting event.

+2. I only graduated a few years ago and when ever someone would chant bulls*** usually someone would hush them up, or start the BG chant. I've heard more negatives so far about the student section's actions this year rather than positives.
