BG looking for its first win on grass in 5 years

Post by BGSU33 »

I was looking at the forecast for the Buffalo game down in Columbus and was thinking about how it could be a factor (calling for showers) since the game will be played on grass, and it got me thinking, when was the last time BG won a game on grass? With some many teams making the switch over to turf over the years, I believe our last win on grass was all the way back in the 2008 opener at Pittsburgh. But this will only be our fourth game on the real stuff since that win. BG is 0-2 on grass this year but that was at Florida and Virginia Tech. We didn't play a single game on grass last year, we lost at Temple on grass in 2010, we didn't play on grass in 2009 and we won our only game on it in 2008.
GO BG!!!

It really is amazing how rare grass fields have become up here....most HS have made the switch to artificial turf if they can afford to.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
