Music City Bowl is a 7 hour or so drive from NW Ohio.....that would be cool.

When are the bowl participants announced?
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

NIU/Kent are 17th and 18th in the Coaches/AP poll, both are flip-flopped though.

It's the Coaches and the Harris that count for the BCS though. But I believe the Harris has these teams ranked in the same order as the AP currently, so it's kind of a moot point.

Would be very cool to see a MAC team in a BCS game. Very cool indeed.

Kent 17th in the BCS, NIU 21st.

NIU still has a chance if they beat Kent. But, if Kent State wins, it looks almost certain the MAC gets a team in the Orange Bowl.

What a crazy season.

Very few great teams this year. Maybe even no great teams and there is not much difference 10 through 40. Either of these teams could give a big school a headache with a month to prepare.

Brad Edwards on ESPN's show indicated that Texas and UCLA losing is also needed. And that Northern Illinois would be very, very close.

If a MAC team goes to a BCS game, then everyone moves up a spot, correct? So if BG is the fourth choice in the MAC, it could still go to Boise.

I think a few people said it was ridiculous just a few weeks ago. Now it's win and in.

The MAC getting into the Orange Bowl will send Mark May into a sideways tizzy...

BG would is probably the 5th MAC choice. Behind, Kent, NIU, Toledo, and Ball State. Ahead of OU and Central. I would guess Boise is out.

Looking like DC or St. Petersburg.

After looking at all the scenarios, if Pitt and UConn both win this weekend to get in, and Georgia Tech petitions for the waiver if it loses in the ACC Championship as their AD has stated and receives it, it would bring the total teams for 70 spots up to 73. I think it's safe to say the first team out would be CMU. The next team out would likely be WKU. That would in all likelihood leave BG, Ohio and ULM to fight it out to avoid being the last team put out. All three teams are 8-4. BG and ULM are both 6-2 in their respective conferences, while OU is 4-4. So there potentially could be an 8-4 team sitting at home. If either Pitt or UConn lose, BG, OU and ULM should be all safe with CMU and WKU likely out. If both Pitt and UConn lose, CMU is probably the only one left out. The Georgia Tech situation is interesting in itself as I have found many different explanations and descriptions of what could happen. I'm not sure what to believe or expect with it yet. Bottom line is, it would do BG a lot of good to see one of the Big East teams go down. After watching 9 out of 12 win to get in with their backs to the wall this past weekend, I'm not banking on it though. Either way we'll know by Sunday what the story is.
GO BG!!!

It's interesting to note, the ESPN projections are split, one has WKU and one has OU. So maybe it's not clear cut Ohio goes before Western. With the way they finished the Bobkittens should be nervous.

They both have Georgia Tech in. So these figure almost the worst case scenario. No UConn. If UConn got in it would bump OU or WKU.

Scout has GT getting the waiver and being in

http://cfn.scout.com/2/557866.html

CBS has GT out

SBN has GT out

I don't see why they would get a waiver, but who knows.
