This guarantees the MAC another bowl spot and someone who will play San Jose State. Likely, this will either go to Ball State or Bowling Green. My hunch says that this spot goes to Ball State because of its record, but the Falcons would make for a great game too.

But if the MAC gets into a BCS bowl, then BG just has to be ahead of OU.

If I recall correctly, the last time a bowl was in DC involving a MAC team, TEMPLE was given the slot while BG was sent out to Boise. I felt then it was a wrong decision, granting a "football only" school priority over a long time member. (Perhaps Toledo played Air Force there last year..just mentioning how it affected a BG bowl bid.
I'd love for us to get this game, as my son lives in Alexandria, VA. and it'd give me a chance to see him and his family...and perhaps take them to a game too.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Toledo beat Air Force there last year. Temple lost to UCLA in 2009, when BG went out to Boise. You're kind of right all around, eventually.Class of 61 wrote:AyZiggy97 wrote:psc2009 wrote:This guarantees the MAC another bowl spot and someone who will play San Jose State.
