That's Louis Orr basketball.
Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
Excellent analogy Zulu. Let's review what I get for my football season tickets: invite to signing day event, invite to pre-season kickoff event at the Doyt, a competitive athletic program and a nice game day environment, a thank-you note on my seat early in the season and a final thank you event at the Sebo Center. I receive all of that for about $20.00 per ticket! How we don't sell over 5,000 season tickets is beyond me. Now, what do I get for my basketball season tickets?..............???.............right.....exactly what I witnessed today.....and for the rock bottom price of $1000! I've been a fool for 2 years Greg Christopher, but NO MORE!!

Basketball season tickets are always more expensive in most cases, outside of schools like Alabama, Ohio State, etc.bg1984 wrote:Excellent analogy Zulu. You're paying for 15+ games as opposed to 5 or 6. It cost me $600 for 8 season tickets and a parking pass for BG football. I know people who pay that for 1 ticket for basketball season tickets. It's also why you get a much more "corporate crowd" at a lot of college basketball games, lots of company seats.
BG football tickets are ridiculously cheap.
Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
What does it say to the athletic department about the state of the basketball program when they can't fill a 5,000 seat arena for a game against MSU? That alone should be reason enough to go in a different direction with a head coach! What a shame!
Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
You are a step behind. I cut my Falcon Club giving in half this year as well as the number of Anderson Club seats. Next year will be ZERO on both if ther are no changes that you mention. By the way, you should copy Dr Mazey with your letter.bg1984 wrote:Just returned home from watching the most mediocre, uninspired sporting event I believe I have ever witnessed. I watched a head coach who is excellent at clapping and giving all glory to God but seems incapable of motivating college athletes. I watched all of this from my Anderson Club seats which cost me a bit over $1,000 per season for my 2 tickets. Half of that is joining the Falcon Club at the Orange & Brown level. (That donation is earmarked for football BTW) Well not next year. I will be emailing our AD to inform him that i will not invest in a program that the athletic department allows to wallow in mediocrity. I encourage all of you who have invested money in this program to do the same. I have 2 season tickets on the 50 yard line for football with parking for a tad under $300.00. That may be the best value in all of America! I am more than happy to invest in a football program that is led by a man with vision and talent. As nice a man as I'm sure Louis Orr is he simply has not convinced me that he is a program builder. I love our facility and I love the concept of The Anderson Club but the AD must be sent the message that what we witnessed today is not going to be tolerated. I do not expect a win every night but I do expect competitiveness and a vision of a program moving in a positive direction. Unless we have a coaching change next year I will no longer spend my hard earned money on the sham of a basketball program. Our AD will learn of this in my email to him and if any of you are as frustrated as I am, please do the same. It's time the AD hears from the paying public. As a football season ticket holder I am treated with respect and offered a product that is competitive, growing and is a great value. As a basketball season ticket holder I'm taken for granted at 3 times the cost of my football tickets. As I said, that ends at the conclusion of this season. I can only imagine what must be going through the minds of those generous individuals who have donated millions in this so called program. We ALL deserve better! Shame on the athletic department for taking advantage of us all!

There were more bricks today than the third pig used to build his house.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
I just had a thought............can we use that ticket "trade-in" policy for games in 2015?
Might be worth a try!!!

I don't know factman.........at that point Orr will be in the 3rd year of his 5 year extension he's gonna get from the Fundraising Clueless Clown at the end of this year. At that point Erger will be an asst coach in charge of teaching the offensive system.factman wrote:I just had a thought............can we use that ticket "trade-in" policy for games in 2015?

I thought the effort was pretty good. YSU was averaging 75 points a game. The defense was good enough to win. Inability to score does not equal motivation.
*edit: Maybe I generalized. Calhoun seemed lackadaisical in the first 30 minutes. But he seems to do that for certain stretches.

Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
I think Hammb already mentioned this, but I was STUNNED to see that THREE starters scored ZERO points today! I know I haven't seen these guys in person yet...(still waiting on our new granddaughter to get "borned")... but this seems IMPOSSIBLE to achieve! ](/img/ayziggyzoomba/58/58/54314911ff35ed959956620e68458f73.gif)

Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
AyZiggy97, if you thought that was a good effort today, more power to you. That today was and eye sore. Pathetic, mediocre basketball. Youngstown couldn't have played worse and still won going away.
Re: That's Louis Orr basketball.
maybe ysu was just better?
