And they were picked to win the Big Least by some outlets before the season.
So was Pitt, lol. 4 of the 10 teams finished tied for 1st, Big East was baaaaad this year.

I think we end up in Tampa vs UCF.
actually there are only 8 teams in the Big East this year, so half the teams tied for 1st

Here's an updated look with Pitt and Georgia Tech in, UConn not.

Could change with NIU making the BCS.

Globe:

It all depends on how high Northern gets in the polls. If the voters put NIU high enough they have a chance. Nebraska getting slaughtered helps the cause too.

I like BG's chances of getting a Big East slot. UCF would be a good matchup.

Another projection. Tampa, vs UCF would be great. Although, it would basically be a road game.

Jerry Palm has excluded BGSU from his projections but I don't see how MTSU can go to the Beef o' Brady Bowl ahead of a MAC team.

He also has W. Kentucky in and Kent State going to Boise. Which I don't see happening.

Updated CFN has BG going to BBVA bowl against Ole Miss.

Not an ideal situation, in my eyes.

Bowl games in Tampa and DC would work for me but anything else I won't be able to make.

Palm updated his projections....NIU to the ORANGE, BG to Beef O'Brady's.

This would be the wet dream of the MAC.

This all hinges on one factor: Northern Illinois' ranking in the human polls. More specifically, the Huskies' BCS chances depend on how far Nebraska plummets after Saturday's loss to Wisconsin.

Consider last week's BCS standings. NIU was No. 21. A win over No. 17 Kent State should move NIU ahead of No. 20 Boise State (which beat Nevada) and No. 19 Michigan (which was idle). No. 18 Texas lost. Kent State lost, obviously. No. 16 UCLA lost to Stanford.

Nebraska was No. 12 before giving up 70 points to Wisconsin. If enough voters knock Nebraska below NIU in the polls, the Huskies could get enough of a boost to move up to No. 16 in the final standings. If NIU is No. 16, it would earn an automatic at-large BCS bid because it has a higher ranking than the winner of an automatically qualifying conference (either Wisconsin or Louisville). Make sense?

If NIU doesn't get to No. 16, the Sugar Bowl will take Oklahoma while Louisville heads to the Orange Bowl.

I think the only projection I have seen with us out is Phil Steele who have Ball State going instead of us.... I have a question those since there is not a B10 team eligible for the Lil Cesars Bowl wouldnt it be smart for the bowls as far as money is concern to try and get us to play Toledo??? Is that even legal? Just a thought the bowl would think they would rather have 2 MAC schools the MTSU...

There were enough rumors circulating about this that I bet it is (or at least was) being considered. The scenario was Bowling Green and Toledo in the Motor City.

It would be interesting to see how close a Bowling Green-Toledo Motor City Bowl would come to outdrawing the Big Ten championship game.

It is for me but I agree don't see many making the trip. It's 75 and sunny today, does that help?

Phil Steele has BG in. Palm is the only one who doesn't and he does, if NIU makes the Orange.
