What the bowl picture looks like right now

Northern moved to #16 in both Coaches and AP Polls. Nebraska really dropped down. Boise remained 20 in one poll but moved up to 15 in the other.. Going to be real close between NIU and Boise to bust the BCS. Now it comes down to the computers and number crunching. Lets hope NIU can bust in.

It's going to be close. NIU has to leapfrog Boise or Boise gets the BCS invite. Leapfrogging Michigan is just a bonus assuming we do leapfrog Nebraska, UCLA, Texas, Kent and Boise.

I do not see NIU getting by Boise though but I have my fingers crossed. Boise is the comfortable vote over a MAC team. Plus, Boise has feasted on MAC teams in recent years including this year.

I'm not sure what happened to my previous post. Boise State will not remain ahead of NIU due to NIU's computer rankings. I'm holding out hope that Palm has underestimated the ground that NIU will gain against UCLA in the computer rankings. I think that he has.

Here are TMD's final projections. Bowling Green did itself a huge favor by beating Ohio. We've got the Falcons playing in either the Military Bowl or the BBVA Compass Bowl depending on what happens with NIU.
