Wow. Just when I thought I had watched the worst BGSU game of my life, Wright St. shows up and gives us another slopfest. The quality of D1 product is awful. I love college basketball, but a couple more of those and I might give up. Nobody can shoot anymore.

Yeah we won. We are 4-4 now. We played pretty well and saw flashes from 2 guys who will see more and more time in Holmes and Henderson. Was a fun game to watch. Surprised by the negativity post game.

BG had much more energy tonight. Looked like they were actually trying.

Fun game to watch? 54-41. Tons of missed shots. BG offense needed a ton of free throws and several bail out threes to get to 54. It was terrible basketball.

This Wright St. game was still a debacle. It doesn't feel like a win. It doesn't represent progress. In a game, someone must lose - this time it was Wright St.

Ya, the games have become more about watching bizarre crappy plays, than good quality basketball. It will be a struggle to justify 2 more hours Saturday after watching these last 2 games in a 72 hour period. I feel like I just watched some junior high girls play.

That game last night was awful and I don't know how anybody could say it was enjoyable to watch. Sure, I'm glad we won, but Wright State was just so terrible we couldn't lose no matter how hard we tried. Kraus & Orr couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Our defense was oftentimes lost until the final 5:00 of the game. Crawford was so-so. Calhoun was out of control much of the night, but got bailed out by a lot of fouls.

About the only real bright spots for me were watching Holmes, who was awesome, and Henderson. Even Henderson, after coming in and hitting a couple shots, struggled to get shots to fall after that. Still, I think his shot looks better than most of our other guards, and he did get some boards and steals. He played well enough that I still question why he doesn't play and Kraus gets 27 minutes a night.

All in all it was a horrible game, but thanks to a terrible opponent (and some homering by the refs) we got a win, so that was nice. Last night did nothing to change my outlook of the season though...

So even when BG wins they don't look good doing it? I can see that. I'm happy they won but I don't see this team making any noise in the MAC.

Terrible team? Ok...they lost to Utah at Utah by 12 66-54 but you guys are right...we should be better than Utah in basketball. These "bad" teams we keep playing keep having horrible shooting nights against us and against other teams seem to have no trouble scoring. Coincidence?

Wright St. is picked last in the Horizon. They lost to Central Michigan (neutral court) picked dead last in entire MAC. BG is 2-4 (4-4 if include 2 CYO teams). BG has played 4 teams at home. 1 true road game. Home attendance last night 1350 and shrinking. It's a great day for Falcon Basketball. And yes, Utah is god awful in basketball right now. Utah was 5-25 last season. HAHA.

It was an up and down game and a win. I wasn't trying to comment on basketball quality. Clearly playing Kraus the minutes he is getting is mind boggling.

Whats the word on Spencer Parker?

Spencer Parker looks to have found a pretty solid bench partners in Rorie and Gomez.

Hey the line was BG -4 the "smart" guys out west thought it would be a lot closer game but we won by quite a bit more than the 4 they were predicting ha ha looks like we overachieved Monday, heh?
