Blake and Emerson

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

If you're reading this from the BG/Toledo area, watch Fox Toledo Sports tonight. They were at the rink and interviewed Blake and Emerson along with Paluch and some players! I am assuming the interview would be on tv tonight in their 10 o'clock edition.

Very cool to see those two guys again!!! :supz:

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I've always wondered, when we have "VIPs" come to the area, what hotel do they stay at? There aren't exactly any 4 or 5 star hotels in BG.

If they're REALLY "VIP", they probably crash with the President, or maybe a distinguished professor in town with space to accomodate. Otherwise, I'm sure there's a decent suite or nicer room at the Hampton Inn, or definitely at the French Quarter in Perrysburg.

Actually, given that they played with Paluch, I would guess that they are staying at his house. But that is only a guess, no clue if that is accurate.

Also, a bit disappointed in the news coverage!! Fanning did NOT mention that Nelson was there also, only focused on Rob! Both of them are equally important to the legacy and history of BG Hockey. That huge renovation that was done at the arena is a direct result of Blake AND Emerson!! I know that Fox Sports has an expanded edition on Sunday nights, maybe they will have a lengthier segment then. I saw them interview Blake, Emerson, Paluch, and Rogo. Could have been others, too. Lot of film taken for such a short segment.

They spent so much time stirring the pot of the Jeep tragedy that there wasn't much time left for anything else.

Agreed. I get rather tired of the overkill we are getting from all of the local stations on everything from the winter weather (like we never had a big snow storm before...) to this event. They are all trying to out do each other by reporting more and more about less and less!!
