Nothing new for me, but great to see your takes. I think you are overstating how bad Crawford was in the second half but I always think you guys do that so that might be a foreclosed bias for me.

Its amazing to me that we had one of the best shot blockers in the MAC last year, then we get Holmes and he makes Black look like a very average defender. He is on pace for about 70 blocks this year. That would be the best at BG since they have been recorded by 11. He is going to crush that record.

The mid morning host on 97.1 in Detroit...a fella named Doug Karch...just called the Stroh Center a "wierd little building that's tough to play in". I kinda like that and think we should run with it....

I have no problem that he can't score but quit spotting up like you can.

This was because the defense knows he can't score, so they were forcing the ball into his hands. Although it really didn't matter much with Crawford on the bench.

Like it or not as Hammb so eloquently stated, when you only have two guys who average more than a fart you have to have them in there at crunch time. We had a chance had Crawford been in there.

You aren't going to beat even a somewhat decent defensive team with only one scoring threat on the floor...much less a top-20 Big Ten team.

Take away C. Orr's shocking 6 for 7 shooting (3 for 3 from 3) and the rest of the team shot 25% from the field and 12% for 3s. I don't care who you are playing that is disgustingly bad.

And despite all that, when you have a chance to win against a ranked opponent in front of your first sellout crowd in years, you have got to play you best players. Sure, maybe sit Crawford for a minute or two, but he needed to be on the floor the last four-six minutes.

And I know L. Orr is a super nice guy, but he didn't need to pratically apologize to Izzo for mentioning AA to him. That was a psychological edge we had on the Spartans and L. Orr should have been reminding Izzo at every chance he could about Izzo's last trip to BG. Instead, he goes the other way and makes sure Izzo didn't take his AA comment the wrong way.

I just watched the Louis Orr post game presser. WOW. Asked about Crawford, Orr says nothing like usual. Something about how hard it is for Crawford. Well ya it's hard. You haven't scored 60 points in 3 weeks, and you surround him with people who score 6ppg in high school Lou. Wake up. If you want to blame Crawford, look in the mirror. You have an assistant trying to fight him. Recruit a guy who can make a shot and then ask him to make better decisions. Amazing.

Yeah...but when he had guys like Thomas and (occasionally) Brown who could make a shot, Crawford didn't display great decision making skills.

I don't disagree. He turned the keys over to Crawford his sophomore season. He knew what he was getting. Orr chose not to develop Clarke last season. Orr chose not to recruit any other point guards. Orr chose a bunch of recruits who don't score. At the end of the day, Crawford has to score. Orr had 4 meaningless home games before last night to pull Crawford to prove a point. He chose Michigan St in Crawford's senior season, with a backup who hardly plays.

I would love to have Louis Orr as a friend/neighbor. He seems like such a nice, amiable guy...a really fine representative of BGSU. I was really hoping he'd turn the program around.

I made the trip to the game as I didn't just want to see it on TV. This game had much the same feeling of the BG-Florida football game for me. I went to both, and afterwards, felt good despite losing. For the first 30 minutes, we went toe-to-toe with a Top-25 team. But then our biggest problem - scoring (or lack of it) - caught us. I felt proud about how we competed and played for much of it. They made me proud even in the loss, which is usually never the case. It just goes to show how decent we can play if we just score. We can defend and rebound pretty well, but we just look lost on offense. That goes for one, running plays, and two, making shots. But all in all, great to see a big crowd there. I just kept thinking, if we could just become good again, we could get good crowds of a consistent basis. It would be great.
