Kent State vs Cleveland State

Post by Rollo83 »

Went to the Kent State/Cleveland State game tonight since the Wolstein Center is a two minute walk from my office in downtown Cleveland.

I asked the lady in the box office for the best seat available and she sold me a $20 ticket which was mid court, four rows from the floor. Great venue but a sparse crowd.

Kent won pretty handily but wasn' real impressed with their team...not at the level of past Kent teams. Cleveland State is very young and got down by as many as 17 in the first half but cut it to 2 in the second half, only to collapse again late.

Akron and Ohio are the best of the MAC this year and Kent is probably in the next tier. Still think MAC isn't nearly as strong as it was say ten years ago.

And Eastern Michigan lost by 50 to Kentucky. Kentucky is really down this year but losing by 50. So I'm guessing we would lose by 60 considering EMU is playing better than us. They actually have talent and don't play what should be D3 players 25 min per game.

Just speaking the truth. If I'm donating the amount of money I am donating for the Anderson Club, season tickets in all other sports, and paying for two student athletes I have the right to complain, just like you and every other fan. Never been a supporter of Coach Orr and never will. Great person less than par coach.

I give $100 to the Falcon Club for my seats. Beep. Beep.

I typed many of these posts on my keyboard that I wittled by hand from one single piece of beachwood.

Kentucky looks "down" now...but you give Nerlin Noels and Cauley-Stein and the rest of those kids a month or two to jell and they'll be a factor come March. We'll be sitting home...but the Wildcats will be making aniother run deep into the tournament
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Didn't Nerlin Noels have a minor hit on the Sun label in 1958? Played mandolin, right?
