IMO, we are still, slowly, turning the corner. Many feel that the turn started last year when we beat OSU twice in January in 2 shoot out wins, after which we went on to have a respectable second half and wild ride to JLA. While we got off to a frustratingly slow start this year, we started to turn it around earlier beginning in Alaska with a win and a tie on Dec. 7,8. Since then the only loss that we've had is to ND on 12/15 when we pretty much got schooled.Flipper wrote:CRAP!! I would have DVR'd this sucker had I known that...I'll look for repeats. Great win for the program...is this that corner you guys have been wanting to turn?jpfalcon09 wrote:For anyone in the Buckeye Cable area, the game is on live on BCSN.
Comparing this year to last year and assuming I got my numbers right, at this time last year we were 1-9-4-3 in the CCHA with 7 points and 6-13-5 over all. This year we are 4-7-3-1 in the CCHA with 16 points and 7-10-5 over all (we've played 2 fewer over all games but the same number of CCHA games). Better on both counts, fwiw. We continue to improve, which is the important thing. Since the beginning of December we've knocked off 2 ranked teams (Niagara and ND) and hammered UM, all of which were convincing victories. There are still a lot of games left to play, however, so this season is far from over.
