Huh? Wha?? ;-)

I was once trampled at OU... We lost to them in OT when Antonio was a Sr. and I was sitting on press row... the game ended, they won, I got trampled. Seriously.

I also went to basketball camp at OU for two years in high school. There was a place called Angelo's pizza and they had a delivery girl named Lisa... Sting's "If you love someone" was on the radio... John Blausey was my roommate... Danny Nee was the coach and spit on me at the water fountain. Dayton Dunbar was at that camp with Kirk Taylor who went to UofM.

I have no idea what I had for lunch yesterday.

I think there may be some deep rooted psychological issues buried in this post. Let's call Bob Newhart. :D

'Freak,

I remember that game at OU in Antonio's senior year. I was down there for the game too. Ohio's Geno Ford missed a three to tie it right before the end of regulation, but a long rebound gave him a second chance and he drained it, forcing overtime. In OT, we withered and got beat. It was another blow to our at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. I was crushed. The students stormed the floor and leaped right over press row as you said. Funny enough, press row has since been moved higher up at Ohio U. now and the student section at OU, called the O-Zone, is now right on the floor like it is at BG. I still remember that breakaway dunk Antonio had when he was all by himself and just walked on air! The Convo was a house of horrors for me. Back in my first trip to the Convo, I watched Gary Trent torch BG for 46 points. I also remember BG's first trip after Antonio's brother Chris died was to Ohio (AD did not play). All of these games resulted in losses. Ugh.

Grant, he SPIT on you? What? On purpose?

Wait a second, didn't you have a run in with Jud Heathcoate, too?

Btw, Kirk Taylor was very close to coming to BG. He had verballed to us, and then Michigan offered.

Yeah, it was on purpose, but it was a playful stream-of-water spit from a full mouth of water from the water fountain.

Kirk "Iced Tea" Taylor was good!! Probably the best guy I ever played against, with the exception of Jim Jackson...

I said it back in January, OU was my sleeper pick!

BGSU33 wrote:Ohio is my "sleeper team" of the MAC this year. No one is really talking about them but I like what they are doing down there despite the current overall record. They play very well at home and have battled like heck from big deficits in very close road losses to teams like Ball State and Miami. Mychal Green (former Louisville signee), Sonny Troutman (former Indiana (state) Player of the Year) and Jeremy Fears (Purdue recruit) are a very athletic trio, and Leon Williams is a banger inside. Certainly, I want BG to win, but these two games against Ohio will be tough. But it's kind of nice having a home-and-home series with a MAC East team again. I for one hope BG is back in the East next year to stay.

I said this back in January when Ohio was nowhere near the MAC lead! I won MAC Pick 'EM, I picked Ohio as my sleeper team to win the MAC. If only I could pick lottery numbers this way!
GO BG!!!
