Another half under 20 points!!!
Re: Another half under 20 points!!!
Here is a simple formula: if Orr is back as head coach I will not renew my season tickets.

GO BG!!!
Re: Another half under 20 points!!!
I hate the thought of giving up my season tickets...as bad as the teams have been over the past 10 years I've still gone to >90% of the games. But good god I will find it near impossible to renew my tickets for another year of this garbage.BGSU33 wrote:Thisbg1984 wrote:Here is a simple formula: if Orr is back as head coach I will not renew my season tickets.

+1
........and if Christopher is back, I won't renew Falcon Club either!
Re: Another half under 20 points!!!
I agree, because count me in as one of those people who year after year anymore declares I won't do it again next year, but still does. Because one, I always want to give and support the program; two, six months usually washes away most of the bitterness; and three, I'm actually stupid enough to believe and have hope that "this could be the year." But there is no way I can support this junk anymore. I mean one winning season during this time??? Come on....and we've ridden is crappy stretch right on in to a brand new arena. Enough is enough.hammb wrote:I hate the thought of giving up my season tickets...as bad as the teams have been over the past 10 years I've still gone to >90% of the games. Re: Another half under 20 points!!!
Crawford and Calhoun a combined 3 for 24 from the field, inlcuding 0 for 9 from three point.
Where will we get that kind of scoring from next year when they are gone?

Re: Another half under 20 points!!!
We'll get it from the rest of the team on a regular basis next year! True, those two had a terrible game tonight, but they are our only two proven scorers this year, period. These two have scored 20+ for us in losses, they aren't to blame for how this season has unfolded. We'll see just how much we miss them next year when we have five guys standing on the floor with a deer-in-headlights look on their faces next season. Calhoun and Crawford are two of maybe four players we have that would see the light of day on a court for most MAC schools, with Holmes and Orr being the other two. I can live with a bad night from one or both of AC and JC because they carry this team most every other game.Rollo83 wrote:Crawford and Calhoun a combined 3 for 24 from the field, inlcuding 0 for 9 from three point.

Re: Another half under 20 points!!!
Neither one ever impressed me as players. Crawford, maybe one of the worst points guards in BG history, usually put up more turnovers than assists. Yes, he scored but that's because he was only option on some of the most offensively challenges teams ever at BG. Plus, he usually had to take a lot of shots to get those points. He is a terrible decison maker during crunch time. He is a liability on defense at 5'6".BGSU33 wrote:We'll get it from the rest of the team on a regular basis next year! Calhoun is very gifted athletically but never seemed to put it all together. He goes missing in action in too many games for large stretches. Doesn't seem to have a great basketball IQ and is out of position a lot of times. Other teams are able to take him out of the flow of the game with great ease. Never seemed to get better over his four years...his fault or Orr's? Probably a little of both. Wonder what a coach like Dambrot would have gotten out of him over four years?
