I see positives in any loss at this point. Doing what we have been doing for 6 years won't ever make watching Louis Orr coached teams exciting. The sooner the better IMO.

I guess this is another definition of a dead program: when the fans take no joy in whatever short-term success (i.e., wins) the program might achieve because we know it won't be part of a pattern, just a meaningless blip....when the fans just look forward to the season's end so we can see what a new future might look like....when winning a single game in the MAC tournament is considered a waste of time. Wow.

This year's team reminds me of Pat Haley's first year as coach -- except we had a freshman team with talent to watch - and could then go on about our business.

Whoa. That's pre-Weinart, Nixon-era stuff right there. Wide lapels and mutton-chop side-burns. We had just gone off the gold standard and we were just starting to wrap things up in Vietnam. The guys I think were still wearing Chuck Taylors and short-shorts on the floor. You are no spring chicken.

Wonder why Orr isn't looking at this kid...

Kid in that video is not nearly tall enough. We are looking for length and bad feet.

There's a bigger picture to consider here. Anything that extends this season is a big waste of time, in my view. We need to get this season over, fire the coach, and start working toward fixing what's wrong.

Anything that delays that is just a mirage. You know this team isn't going to suddenly get hot and win the MAC tournament. They haven't done it in 40 years; why would it happen with some of the worst personnel and coaching they've had in that time?

Just get this season over and start working toward the future. I take no joy in watching BG lose; but at least if I know there's some kind of hope with change down the line, it's not quite as depressing.

If I let myself believe that Orr is coming back next year, it's almost too painful. That's why I can take some comfort when this team continues to lose. It puts more pressure on The Fundraiser to make a change.

Orr is coming back next year. You know it and I know it. Get used to it. As for games, you can look at it from the other side...Akron, Ohio, Michigan State are fun teams to watch. Enjoy watching a perfectly executed fast break or a good half court offense. You can't help it if it's not your team.

Some people are really good at what they do and that ability speaks for itself. Other people are really good at selling themselves to the right people. People like this (and they're in all walks of life), are able to convince people in positions of authority to hire them and then to stick with them despite their lack of ability and success. Coach Orr would seem to fall in the second category. His ability to fool people into thinking he can evaluate talent and recruit will, unfortunately, keep him at BG for at least one more year if not longer. It pains me to say this.

I really don't know what to think anymore. If this was just about any school in the country besides us, he's gone. But with the guy who hired him, and gave him a contract extension, seeming to be the only person under the sun not concerned with the "direction" of this program, who the hell knows.

I think we are psychologically readying ourselves for another awful year. That Way we have protected ourselves if it happens. There is almost no chance he doesn't get fired this year. In my opinion if Greg fundraising even considers nt firing him he should be let go. You don't give your football coach an extension and then not fire your basketball coach. I can't even imagine what he would say at the end of the year.

Just remember, Christopher has superiors who may be telling him what to do. His hands could be tied, so don't instantly assume it is all his doing.

Then they should be fired. It simply costs you more to put a bad product on the floor. You have to think long term
