Hey, I had a chance to see the Falcons in person today for the first time this season. For as much criticism as Crawford has gotten this year, he was the reason this team won today. He was the spark plug on offense and opened up the other players on his drives. His defense was great. He didn't even throw an alley oop into the stands... although one was close. I thought Black played okay on offense. I loved the fact that they played man the whole game... a lot different look than that 2-3 zone they played last year. Good active hands lead to some easy points and better boxing out than I remembered last year. If they can win three more MAC games this year (kinda unlikely), they may have an outside chance to host a tournament game??

The only Chinese restaurants I am familiar with are -

Hunan Buffet across from the stadium
A little Chinese joint (The Phoenix?) on W. Wooster near the police station
The Chinese carry out on S. Main St. by Odd Lots
The Chinese buffet (King Buffet?) near Kroger
The Chinese buffet in front of the mall (if the Health Dept has let it reopen)
Another Chinese carry out in the mall
The China out at Haskins & Poe Rd.

I ate there a couple of weeks ago... They're always closed on Sundays, and sometimes take a week off in the winter for vacation. I LOVE the China Village!! I always make a point to visit Sharon when I'm in town.

Speaking of that, what ever happened to the old DiBennidetto's across from Harshman by the McDonalds? That place had the best subs I've ever had.

DiBennidetto's moved downtown. They had opened an Italian restaurant on Main Street, but then consolidated the two businesses into one. The downtown business was Cucina Di Betto, but it's now again called DiBennidetto's. It's at 121 S. Main. However, their website no longer is available, so I'm not sure if they are still open or not. You could always drive by and check it out. From what I understand, they brought back most of their subs and still have some of the options from their restaurant.

Unfortunately I believe the DiBenedetto's downtown is now out of business. I never saw an article or ready anything as to why, but it doesn't appear to be around anymore. Too bad, as I actually enjoyed the Italian food there. I definitely thought it was a step up from the chain Italian you get in Toledo (Spaghetti Warehouse, Biaggi's, or (heaven forbid) Olive Garden).

I think they're still open downtown. There were people sitting inside eating dinner last Wednesday evening when I ate downtown.

I think the sandwiches are being made upstairs on the second level.

They do not open until 4pm.

That was my understanding as well...and I was originally going to respond with that information about the sandwiches being available upstairs.

Then I did a quick google and found that YP.com says they're closed, the phone number I could find for the place said it was disconnected. Dibenedetto.com doesn't appear to be functional either, and I think they used to have their menu published online.

Maybe it's that recent of a change...maybe they closed on 2/1 or something?

I don't know, but I did always enjoy that place. Hopefully they're still open.

Wow...DiBenedetto's is as BG as Myle's or Pisanello's....it'd be quite a shock if they were closed. Sub Me Quick can't be Sub Me Gone...
