DiBenedetto's is OPEN

Post by transfer2BGSU »

Walked by last night on my way to Jed's for dinner. The open sign was on and there were a few people inside.

Then I noticed they had a sign with the Twitter account info. @DiBenedettosBG

Hope this helps quell the confusion.

I drove by last night as well and it certainly looked open to me.

I'm glad, I really liked them for one of the few nice places to eat in BG.

My wife and I were in a couple of weekends ago and it may have been our last. When we entered there was one table occupied and three employees back near the kitchen. They all vanished as we were walking in. 10 minutes later one of their heads poked around the corner and finally came up to seat us. I have to say the food was average that night and the service left much to be desired. It also seemed there was no manager on duty. These are all easy things to fix along with more consistent hours. I am glad they are on Twitter but having a website would be nice as well. We really want to like the place since it where we got engaged back in 2005 (the first couple to do so according to the owner but I cannot remember which son it is) but if the quality continues perhaps we will need to find another Italian place.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's probably been about a year since I was in there last, but the food and service were both pretty good when we were in.

I was there last week and the food was very good as well as the service. We go there 2-3 times a month and enjoy it very much.

Glad to hear from a larger sample size. I have always really enjoyed the restaurant, and this discussion makes me want to get there again sometime soon. I love supporting local eateries, and it really is about the only truly NICE restaurant in BG. At least the only one I've found.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Huh?
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.
