Hang 20 lbs on Banks and he's a perfect fit for rover in our defense. As a safety he understands pass coverage and he looked good supporting the run....not afraid to mix it up in the box. Rover is a spot that gets a lot of "action"....a 220-225lb athlete who can move? I think he's really going to stick out.
Holiday is a 6-5" guy with quicks...the coaches talked a lot about his quickness, speed and bend. If they can hang a good 30-40 lbs on him and get him up around 300lbs like they did with Jarius Campbell he's going to be a load. The MAC doesn't have guys with that kind of size and atleticism.
The RB's are getting a lot of attention...and it is very rare for a MAC school to waltz into FL and get a guy who's **** and three other guys rated *** by at least one of the services that track these kids, but I'm really geeked about the defensive kids they signed. Gourdine is going to grow into a 200lb+ safety, Pierre Louis is going to right there with him....Smith has been given the "Chris Jones" tag by Clawson. For awhile every white WR we signed that looked like he could play at all was compared to Cole Magner. I guess every 6-1 280-290LB DT we sign is going to be "Chris Jones".
Other than Senn...I think the guy who might make an early impact on defense in Shepherd. They want more pressure off the edge and he looks very quick off the ball. He's got the size to play in the MAC right away.
