Orr and Christian appeared to be trying to play peacemaker. There was a double technical with about 2 minutes left on Cooper and Crawford. Those two talk A LOT. There was also a charge called on Clarke a few minutes before that where the OU player hit the floor hard. I thought it was a block, but could be wrong. I was wondering if something was going to happen next month anyway.

Start of the second half KILLED us again. I swear the team should stay the hell out of the locker room at halftime because when we take the floor, we almost resemble nothing like the team prior to the half. Orr must preach the team to sleep at halftime. BG trailed by just one at the half and even held a one-point lead :39 in, then a minute and a half later already trailed by 7, then was down 11 just 5:00 in. Ballgame. Kraus goes scoreless on six attempts, realizing this wasn't NIU he was playing against.

When looking at the box score, and seeing that 40% of your STARTERS have scored a total of ONE point, how can you expect to win anything? Maybe Crawford supplies a spark off the bench, but the starting guard in his place played THIRTY minutes, had O pts, 1 asst, and 1 steal? And your starting center scores ONE point. IF this were unusual, OK.don't see how a "D-1" player can play 30 minutes with nothing to show for it. ](*,)

I agree. It's pathetic. I am going go be sad to see Calhoun and Crawford go after this year, but thank God Kraus is going to be outta here. It is baffling the minute this guy has logged for very, very little production. Not just this year, for the last two. And all this talk about him being a great defender is a bunch of crap. Where that ever got started I have no idea. Because after watching him for four years, he gets blown by consistently, by many. I guess pump-faking the ball when you can't shoot, looking mad at yourself following miss after miss and smacking the floor once in a while in Orr's eyes warrents all the playing time. Because the proof is just not there.

Sort of like saying our AD is a great fundraiser, but..........he is cutting scholarships and budgets in some sports to help make "his" budget!

And the dead horse continues to be beaten.......... I am looking forward to seeing Athletic Director factman in the coming years. BG will have the best baseball team in the country and only 20 scholarships for the remaining teams.

No, I just think every sport we sponsor should have the full number of scholarships allowed by the NCAA, just like the rest of the conference that we are a part of, instead of increasing the # of administrators before that is accomplished.

That costs money, sir. This department is probably one of the more underfunded, understaffed departments in the MAC if not FBS. Carry on with your continuous rants though.

Yah........because non of that is because of the crappy job and crappy hires/extensions our current AD has been part of. Maybe if our sports programs were doing as good as "other" schols we would be able to have the same funding. We just don't bring in the revenue because of shitty programs that are allowed to continue being shifty, like men's basketball. Christopher is BY FAR not innocent in this problem.

Yeah...In a seriousness, I do agree that when it comes to scholarships, you need to fund each sport at a level consistent with your competition.

Well hell, if we don't have the money and can't raise the money, maybe we should eliminate some programs? If we cannot have a proper, competitive program, why have one at all? If something is worth doing, it is worth doing well. If all we can provide is substandard token garbage, why bother in the first place? This is just simple pride.

Yeah, why not? We an use our 4000 seat monument to decades of mediocrity and obscurity for good causes like women's basketball, volleyball, and entertainment events. We can put our glorified high school gym to perfectly good use without a Louis Orr led men's basketball program. Let's admit it - almost nobody cares about BGSU men's basketball. It's been this way for a long time - why else is 4000 seats the "perfect" capacity - very, very few people have ever really given a s**t. Not the campus. Not the community. Not the media. Not Ohio sports fans anywhere. It just wouldn't make any difference. Let's put a real program out there or put the money into programs that aren't futile.

(Food for thought)
