The topic comes up every year. By mid Feb. you can pick apart most of the schedule based on known OOC games of various MAC teams, who we played last year, and who is set for coming to BGSU. Mix in some common logic, and you can generally get a pretty accurate idea.
However we might not even be in the west next year, so that throws everything up into the air.
No matter what, we know who we play last, and can figure on almost exactly what that date is. You can figure the home teams are if we are in the west. Who we start the season by playing. Look at their schedules and start figuring what dates they CAN'T play here, and it starts to come together.
In the end, its more hobby than science.

Yes, but unfortuantly that could set up a situation where the two teams would play two-weeks in row. That equals less ratings and less interest.
Can't we just move a Michigan to the East?

The BG-UT game being the last of the season is a relatively new concept in the rivarly. It used to actually come around Octoberish. While it does provide an almost surefire "sellout" crowd at the end of the season when the weather is not very condusive bringing the fans out, but playing the prospect of us playing eachother two games in a row would be ratings suicide (and I think some homicides between fans would occur as well). As long as BG and UT continue to be MAC "power houses", I think that game is going to have to be a least a week or two earlier in the season.jmillerbg wrote:If they move that game from the last one of the year the MAC office should be blown up. The BG-UT game is the only semi-nationally known rivalry in the MAC --to mess with that would be just plain stupid.

If I am not mistaken, he was talking about BG playing Miami. Election night was last year, and Toledo played Miami on election night, I know this because they were all proud in how the Toledo players cast their votes and still were able to play a competitive game.
BG played Miami in the Championship game 2 years ago, not last year.

If I am not mistaken, we have an election night EVERY November. I think we all remember when BG played in the MACC.bgsufan1972 wrote:
