Looks as though we are going to drop to 8th in the standings LSS won 4 -2 over Alaska tonight. Making next weekend series against Northern big since BG will only be one point ahead of them in the standings.

Weekend series with Northern and close the year at ND. Three wins of last four would be great and put Falcons in a position to host 1st round playoff series.

A sweep of Northern should guarantee home ice if I'm reading the CCHA tie breakers correctly. If we sweep then Northern can't catch us. In the unlikely event that Michigan goes 4-0 against OSU and Ferris (not likely) and we lose both games to Notre Dame they will tie us for points and wins. I think the next tie breaker is head to head competition (we split with UM, so that's irrelevant). After that is head to head goal differential, which we win 6-4. Ergo, home ice with a sweep of Northern.

Also, don't forget that a first round bye is still possible.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.
