Tough loss to Ohio

Post by BGSU33 »

Tough, tough loss. I had a feeling we were going to lose this game and that's why I predicted us to lose. I was afraid we'd come up short down there and we did. We had as much as a 12-point lead and led pretty much the entire way, but I knew when Ohio made a late run and tied it with about a minute to go we were going to lose. It also puts us back in the standings. Oh well......I just hope we can get them back next Monday at our place, this one stings!

Well, we went without points from 4:43 left until :11 left. That'll lose you some ballgames. We may have been tired and missing Fitch at that point. Wright in foul trouble. I like Floyd and I like Robinson, but I don't think its a good look for us when they are both in there.

Yeah, we've hit some big dry spells in some losses. We scored 2 points in the final 8 minutes at Ball State, and went scoreless for almost the final five minutes at Ohio. We probably would have still lost to Ball State, but we missed a great shot at getting a win at Ohio. If we scored just one basket in the closing minutes at Ohio, we probably get the win. I HATE close losses. I'd rather lose by 10-12 than to lose close or at the buzzer. Then, it's always woulda, shoulda, coulda.
