I'm pretty sure the buyout is only when another university hires you away. If you were just to fire him, you would owe him the remainder of his contract.

For instance the new Clawson contract has a $200,000 buyout. However, if he was fired without cause he would be owed the remainder of his contract.

Coach Orr and staff are already hurting recruiting. Any serious prospect must be told by those concerned with the player's well being that Orr will most likely not be here for the duration of the players stay - thin ice. Thus, they sign elsewhere. Last year the opposite happened when Ohio lost Caris LeVert: Originally signed with Ohio University (Nov. 9, 2011), but was released following coach leaving for another school ... Committed to Michigan (May 11, 2012) im sure LeVert was very much into OU especially after they took out Michigan in the NCAA Tournament -then as so many times happens in the MAC the coach bolts for the BIG money and the program is left to pick up the pieces.

Makes sense now why Megan Thorburn was in the crowd for the women's game Sunday and not on the OU bench. I missed that they did that

Hopefully, soon OptionQB will weigh in with a list of top national coaching candidates.

I'm pretty sure Megan left OU on her own after last season.

Should he be gone? Yes. Will he be gone? Who the hell knows. One thing is for sure, if he does come back, it will be for only one more season and ONLY because he is under contract. He is a lame duck and we are going nowhere under his direction. He has made about a million dollars and produced one decent team that was mainly made up of Dakich's upperclassmen players. I fully admit I am not at practice or behind closed doors with him and this team. But when it comes to watching his product on the floor, I am BAFFLED at who he plays, his rotations and his game management. And if that isn't enough, win or lose, in his post game press conferences, 90% of the things he answers or tries to elaborate on, I find myself cringing and I'm left wondering "what the hell did I just listen to?" When he's asked a question, it's like he doesn't know how to answer it. Then when he does, half of it doesn't make sense. For years I have wondered, for someone who played major college basketball, played in the NBA and even was a head coach before here - how does he look and sound so clueless??? I just don't get it...

Can we now officially get a countdown clock to the end of the awful Orr era of BG basketball?
