Didn't Maybleen (Milford kid) mention Orr's faith as a reason he is coming to BG?Globetrotter wrote:I literally just spent 5 minutes glancing at Ergers, Holmes and Crawfords page. All 3 mention God. I am beginning to see how much religion permeated the recruiting and atmosphere here. I don't care what religion you are, do whatever you want with your own time, but I did not realize how imbedded it was in the program. Lets get an atheist in here who can recruit basketball players.

I had no idea. I assumed he was just a religious man and that lead to some very good morals and values that resonated. Literally 3 out of 3 players I looked at mentioned God in their last day of tweets. I personally think Gods pretty cool and religion is pretty awful. In my line of work if I let either of those opinions shine through I would be doing a horrible job.guest44 wrote:Globetrotter, religion has been the foundation of this program since Lou got here. It's how BG recruited. Well that and "it's a marathon and not a sprint."
