This is just disorganized with no attention to detail. Orr can't get a consistent performance from media timeout to media timeout, let alone game to game. He places way too much value on size, and not nearly enough on leadership. He hasn't recruited a leader in 6 years.
He hasn't recruited anybody that could make a jump shot either.

He consistently brings in like Crawford, Sealey, Black, Holmes, Calhoun, Thomas, etc...

These are all players who came in right away and in our first glimpses of them we said, "These guys can play a bit."

Then 3 years later they're still raw talents and still haven't gotten any better than they were the day walked on campus. Sure they may get more stats in year 3-4, but it's just because their minutes trend upward. I cannot think of one single player that actually got BETTER as a basketball player by learning from this coaching staff.

Personally I think 1 winning season in 6 years is pretty awful.

I think Cam Black has come on quite a bit, especially the last half of the conference season. Him getting those 2 weak fouls early hurt us bad last night. He looked great out there and he had the best stat line of the night despite only playing 14 minutes. Other than that, though, I agree player development has been absolutely brutal. Most notably Otis Polk (Dakich Recruit, big steps frosh to soph year, owned the paint, but not much after, seemed to only rent the paint) and Calhoun (POY talent, ends up MAC 2nd team his Sr season and consistently frustrating to watch).

When Dakich was rehired, I knew that BG's fortunes would be bleak, but I was willing to suffer through Dakcih II just because of the way he left us.

I'm not willing to suffer through Orr 7. Whatever Greg Fundraiser was smoking when he extended the contract 2 years, I want some of that. Sure, we has just suffered 5 years of Dakich and our new coach might win next year, if given that chance, with Orr's leftovers and a kick-ass point guard, but if we don't reach the NCAA's, why extend? In fact, hindsight being 20-20, we knew after Orr 4 that he couldn't coach. Not to be mean, the assistants may be the best in the world, but I'll take a George Jackson over any of the ones left.
Sure, Jackson may have lost his temper, but I offer you "Close that Effing door" and "I want 4 Effing passes" as proof that Jackson wasn't all that bad.

It's 2:00pm Greg, time to stop taping the March "Ask the Fundraiser", and make the move.

Yes, but contracts can be extended, and I believe we'll soon find out that Mr. Christopher's was. :supz: :prayer: :-D :supz: :prayer: =D> \:D/ =D> \:D/
