Teams to adopt in 2013-2014?

Post by Globetrotter »

Anyone have any ideas? I would like to keep paying attention to college basketball and tethered somewhat to the people here and the program but I have exceptionally low expectations of my ability to follow this program next year and the little thing that keeps me connected is this forum.

Some ideas

OU
Akron
Toledo
Butler
Gonzaga

Could we create a forum to follow that team?

University of Findlay. I might even get season tickets there next year.

I don't care how pissed you are at BG basketball. I don't think I could ever cheer for another MAC team.

I cheer for the MAC anyway in everything but v BG. I believe in the underdog in sports 100%

Then you should still root for BG. Next year, there won't be many bigger underdogs.

I undoubtedly will. But it will be frustrating and fruitless. Seeing talent not achieve it's potential is very frustrating to me.

Feel free to follow the hockey program if you'd like. Runs about a month longer than basketball, games are exciting and the program is improving. I would agree it would be foolish to support another MAC program in hoops, so in this case you're just better off not caring than wasting time being frustrated.

No way. I have loved basketball since I could dribble. I have coached and played basketball most of my life. I want to watch good, against the odds basketball. There are great products at OU, Akron, Kent and Butler and even Toledo and at the very least Ball State did a great job of making a smart decision.

Owens, they are well coached, have D1 players, and are a championship caliber program headed to the national tournament....and not too far from my house!
