Old Bowling Green logos

Post by CLEfalcon »

I work for a sports licensing company who is looking to make some Bowling Green product. One product we do features retro looks and I was searching the net for old BGSU logos and only found a couple. The current one as well as the Falcon head by itself are prominently featured, but not many other ones are out there. Does anyone know of any older BGSU logos that they used for athletics mainly (not university seal or anything) or have any resources I could persue?

Thanks for any information.

What year was the LT Falcon adopted? I remember them having a contest when the university had it's 75th anniversary.

That would have been '85, but I think the LT dates back to the 70s, IIRC. And the helmet project dates its use back to 1981.

Ziggy Zoomba, is that falcon legit? I couldn't find it anywhere listed on the sites I use to find old logos. I love that bird!

The company I work for is Party Animal. We currently do not have a BG license, but are exploring some options and trying to drum up some interest with some customers. We make high quality flags and banners and 3" toys called Lil' Teammates.

Thanks for all the information guys. Roll along!

I've seen it several times over the years and I have a shirt with that logo on it. I would surmise that it is legit.
