Conference Honors

Post by rood »

Ryan Carpenter and Bobby Shea made second team all-conference but Dajon Mingo got passed over for the all-rookie team.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

Also of note is Andrew Hammond was among the vote getters, receiving 8. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make the Honorable Mention team.

The Falcon/Homer in me would like to have seen us better represented here, but let's be honest...there's not anybody on that 1st or 2nd place team that doesn't deserve it.

More winning would certainly have helped place more people on those teams.

So sad to think this is it for the CCHA.

However, I am very excited about next year's team and starting play in a new league.

Good lord, could the teams at the Joe possibly be more unlikeable?

Go blimp crash!

The egg suckers could be there but I certainly wouldn't waste a blimp on any those teams. Let the Detroit economy take care of them.

I'm actually pulling for Notre Dame. Gives us the best chance to see multiple CCHA teams in the tournament.

I am going for ND also... Since they are not going to be in the Big Six next year, and they are not Miami.

I was hoping Ferris State would knock off Ohio State, that way all four teams would be representing the four different leagues the CCHA teams will be in next year. Then I was hoping Ferris would win the championship to represent the new WCHA.

Same here, but Ferris State knocking off Ohio State would have been enough for me, without the WCHA angle. :finga:

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
