Hopefully the owner will reset his expectations as well.

Wow, didn't think discussion where we didn't insult one another was too high of an expectation that it should be "reset"Redwingtom wrote:Not sure if you've all seen or not, but the site is once again going down for a reset.

Just because you run a store, website or whatever doesn't make you somehow perfect. I would hope that these people are always looking for ways to improve. I would hope you would gauge your audience to determine what the expectations should be.It's the Journey... wrote:The point is, this is the owners' board. Their expectations should set the tone for the board. I don't walk into another store and tell that manger how to run it. I either keep my mouth shut and respect their management style or I leave. It's really not that difficult.

Is it really that much trouble or hassle to expect to the members of the message board not to be complete and utter assholes to one another when posting their opinions. I know this is a discussion board, but guess what, posting your opinion and then having someone tell you to STFU up and go away, and then responding that the person needs to go f**k themselves isn't discussion, its what said before punches are thrown and fights break out.Globetrotter wrote:Just because you run a store, website or whatever doesn't make you somehow perfect. Nope. I didn't notice people doing that much. But I agree that it sucks.BGFalconfromCincy wrote:Is it really that much trouble or hassle to expect to the members of the message board not to be complete and utter assholes to one another when posting their opinions. Agree. All I am saying that things seem pretty civil actually. It's the Journey... wrote:Apologies if I offended anyone but the point remains, be respectful in another persons house.

I agree it doesn't happen much, but it has happened, and the post I took my example from is likely one of the reasons the site is going down for a bitGlobetrotter wrote:Nope. I would hazard a guess that the current state of the BB forum may weigh heavily on the decision. The other forums have been pretty civil, but the vitriol in the BB forum has been over the top. I find it deplorable when student athletes are called out and slammed on a regular basis. They come on here and view this stuff, folks, and your comments do nothing to improve their game. Blame the coach all you want, he gets paid to be here and he has not lived up to his end of the bargain. He brought these students in to play, if they prove to not be D1 caliber players then the onus is on the coach.BGFalconfromCincy wrote:I agree it doesn't happen much, but it has happened, and the post I took my example from is likely one of the reasons the site is going down for a bitGlobetrotter wrote:Nope.
