LOL

I don't believe any of these guys when they say that. In the case of Braun he wasn't even really arguing last year that he didn't take them...he was arguing that the sample was improperly handled. He got off on a technicality.

I think most of these guys are either using or walking a real fine line between the definition of the rules. I also don't care.

Stubbs has plenty of power, when and if he ever connects. He is not a slap hitter at all. Some fans wanted him to sacrifice his power for more contact and ground balls. Granted he played in the tiny little GAB, but he hit some monster shots. You're right though, he is really fast and he can not get on base. He also strikes out a lot.
As a Reds fan, I was glad to see Stubbs go.

I think he will be better away from GABP. He is as fast if not faster than any player in baseball. The problem is, he rarely walked and he is a bad bunter.

With all of Stubbs deficiencies at the plate he is a terrific center fielder. he didn't get to show it off a lot in Cincy because center isn't that big, but he will go and get it with the best of them.

His average, OBP, slugging, OPS, homeruns, RBIs, and walks, have gotten worse every full season he's been in the bigs. He just never showed any improvement.

I am ecstatic we got Choo. Hopefully the bars down here know not to over serve him.

This is one of those moves that I'm not sure will be good value in terms of production per dollar (you are paying a guy through his 37 year old season), but damn I"m glad they did it. Lock up Miggy for just as long, please. Those are the faces of the franchise and you can let them retire as Tigers and then put up a statue in Comerica.

LOVE IT

Yeah...the value won't be worth it in the later years of it, but he's worth the money for his past performances and added value to the franchise. It is what it is...he's the best so you have to pay him market value.
