Anyone going? Since BG is the host, wonder how many Falcon fans attend?

Nicholas (now a second year student at BG and working at the Ice Arena) will be working nets this weekend. He drives the Zam at the ice arena and may get to drive the Zam at certain points during the weekend (I would guess between games). Give him a shout-out. Falcon Fanatic can point him out.

Wish I could, but I'm up at our cottage on Marblehead and not going to the games. We needed a weekend away and had planned on going up here to "de-winterize" the place this weekend. Don't have a dog in this fight and have ZERO interest in watching miami.

Go Minnesota State! :supz:

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Good weekend to straighten up the sock drawer.
After travelling over 14,500 miles following BG hockey this season, I don't want to see ND or Miami. I hope neither one makes it to Pittsburgh.

First period of the first game was a real snoozer. No intensity from either side. SCSU currently up 1-0.

2nd and 3rd had a little more action. ND really only played about 5 minutes all game. 5-1 SCSU final .

2nd game was a much more exciting contest. Mankato just didn't have enough to keep up with Miami. It was a good game. Watching Mankato, next season will be very interesting. The difference in style of play between the CCHA and the WCHA will be fun to watch play out.

Having watched both games, what are your thoughts on today's game? Nicholas was thinking St. Cloud has the edge?

St Cloud can REALLY skate. Their forwards made Irish look flat-footed and SLOW. I think the officials will have a lot of input on the outcome of the Miami-St Cloud game. If Miami is allowed to use all the elbows and fists to the face at the blue line (which they got away with all thru the Mankato game) they'll win. If those calls get made, St Cloud will skate circles around the preppies.
