Hey.......

If this kid is as lightning fast as those quotes made him out to be and if he can put on another 25-30 lbs then I don't care. He'll probably be a work in progress physicality wise for DT, but if we make him a DE , whoa! :D

who in the hell do we recruit that isn't a work in progress physicality-wise for the DT position? CJ Davis and Terrill Byrd would've been nice, but we didn't get them . . .

CJ Davis and Terrill Byrd don't want to play here, Frericks does. Therefore, I like Frericks

A group of us were told at the radio show tonight, that BG has 27 football recruits, including two that will go into last years class, one JC and one HS player, who are already on campus.

You know, 290 lb DBs aren't aren't our only recruiting need.

In basketball, we could use more seven-foot centers.

Im guessing Rubin Ruiz and Luke Alexander will count agains't last years class. I think I remember someone saying Alexander would start early. That mean currently we have 21 commits for this year with 4 more to give. Option looks like we got our work cut out for us to see if we can nail all 27 commits before it's released on the Athletic Site. :D

The Blade article talks about expanding the geography of where we recruit and mentions New Orleans and Houston. I know we got a RB from Louisiana but does anybody have any ideas about kid(s) from Texas we are looking at?

Aaron Wood

Post by falconman »

According to JJ Huddle we have a pledge from LB Aaron Wood out of Springfield Local. I'll try and get some more information.

6'4" 225 4.8, According to Rivals they have him listed as a TE, but JJ Huddle has him as a LB. So we'll see which position he goes to.

I'm guessing that many of these TE's that we've recruited are athletic players who played on both sides of ball in HS..(probably true of most kids at D-1 level)... and that we'll see a lot of new LB's, considering grad. losses and DE's, depending on size, speed and experience. 8)
