And, as probably the ONLY one on this site who actually saw the '59 team in action (and graduated with many of them), I've always felt that this team could've given OSU all it could handle...solid QB and RB, quality WR's, excellent OL, and a steady Defense...pretty much what you'd expect from the #1 team in the country...and they still show that Pic of Bernie Casey scoring agains Delaware, which came in to BG at the #1 spot....we blew them off the field.... Probably should've won in '60 too, but OU, who gave us our toughest game in '59, was very solid and wound up #1 that year.

I saw them a number of times too, 61. I was 14, but my dad played here with Doyt, so we came to a lot of games. Great group of guys too, as I have gotten to know a number of them over the years.
