Wes Lunt?

Oklahoma State QB Wes Lunt is apparently transferring ... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr- ... 01066.html

He started last season as a true freshman and was very good. Then had a concussion and the guy who stepped in was so good that Lunt was unlikely to be the starter this year.

Any chance he might be interested in BG? We've got Schilz, who if he starts this year would be a four year started, and then we have a couple of talented ... but young ... QBs ready behind him. If Lunt were to sit out this year, he would be a RS Soph next year. Any chance our coaching staff would be interested in him and he would be interested in BG? Or would he go for a BCS school?

IF this kid were good enough to be a QB at Ok.St., he probably had quite a few "big time" offers. Doubtful he'd be interested in BG, but it'd be nice to land a kid like this.

Lunt was #21 rated QB in Rivals when he came out (class of 2012). Here were his other offers: BC, Cinci, Illinois, Louisville, MSU, SMU, Vandy, Wisconsin and Western Mich. He is from Rochester, Illinois. Based on geography I'd say Illinois and Wisconsin might have upper hand and BG unlikely to be in the mix at all.

No scholarships availible and a possible Title IX violation as well. If Phil McCracken transfers then that's another story...

O.T. We were curling in Utica back in the '80s and at the banquet someone actually got them to page Mike Hunt from the dais. . .

Lunt is headed to Illinois where Timmy is the coach. He has to sit out for 2013. I gotta wonder, who will be his head coach in 2014?
