You're probably right...Jackson and King were viewed as secondary to Weber, Howard and Rose. There isn't a "secondary" guy in that Kentucky class.
We shall see if the KY class produces an NBA All Star and have three players with long Pro careers. A lot can happen, so it's way too early to make these pronouncements.
Think they'll get Wiggins?

Exactly...no trying to disparage the Fab Five or suggest that the Kentucky kids have demonstrated superiority when they haven't played together. I'm simply agreeing with kdog that on paper...it's the best class incoming class in recent or semi-recent memory
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Ok how about this one though its not recent. The greatest Freshman class in history was the 1965-1966 class at UCLA simply for one reason and one player only - Lew Alcindor nka Kareem Abdul Jabbar. This class beat the defending NCAA varsity by 16 points in an exhibition at a time when Freshman could not play varsity basketball. Outside of Alcindor's backup (Steve Patterson) the rest of those players never made a serious contribution to the dynasty that continued for more than a decade. Alcindor's recruitment led to the recruitment of the Keith Wilkes, Marques Johnsons, and Bill Waltons of the world. This is but one of the reasons that Jabbar is the greatest basketball player of all time. Look up his history. He was a national legend coming out of Power Memorial HS in NY at a time when there were no national recruiting sources. Yet, he was as well known as any player who was in college when he was a HS Sr.

Anyway.....anyone know of any ticket packages through BG? Usually for these type of tournament tickets go on sale the year before. I have some friends traveling to the Maui Invitational this year that got their tickets last winter.

Cancun in November sounds nice.

The resort is all inclusive - accommodations, food, and entry into ALL of the games.
Does not include airfare.

This is a different location from where we were with the women's team a few years ago.

Imagine going to the Grand Ballroom in the student union and watching a basketball game take place. Now imagine that with maybe 75-100 other people along with an open bar at one end and all-you-can-eat hors d'oeuvre at the other end.

BG will play a game at two of these four schools (Wisconsin, St. Louis, West Virginia, Old Dominion) before heading to Cancun for to play the rest of the Mayan Division (Georgia Southern, Oral Roberts and Presbyterian) in tournament format

Or maybe he offers Mack an extension based on a 20 point blowout of Louis Orr and his 11 scholarship players.

So the NCAA changed the rules and now mandate teams play with 11 scholarships? Nope, we just feel the need to play shorthanded against the rest of the league. Maybe we'll play with four players on the court instead of five and go out in a blaze of indignity.

As has been noted, at this point it's probably better for the program to give the next coach more to work with, but that doesn't negate the fact that such manifest incompetence is permitted in this absurd little limbo period we're in.
